I didn’t only move back to Virginia for the Frida Kahlo exhibit… but let’s just say it didn’t hurt. 😉 Frida Kahlo has inspired me for as long as I can remember—her fearless expression, bold use of color, deep cultural pride, and powerful self-portraits have always spoken to me.
I’m thrilled to be offering my very first workshop back in Richmond in celebration of her life and legacy. This two-day series is designed for young artists to experience and explore Frida’s work through their own creative lens.
🖼 Day Two: Mixed Media Self-Portraits
Date: Sunday, August 10
Time: 10AM – 12PM
Children will reflect on identity and self-expression as they create vibrant mixed media self-portraits using paint, collage, and natural materials. We’ll begin with a gallery walk through the exhibit for inspiration, then head outdoors to dive into our own masterpieces.
